ABOUT US
Whispering Acres is a NYS licensed home inspection business that specializes in the Central New York real estate area. Established in 2023, we provide concise and thorough home inspections for our customers. We’ve been helping our clients have confidence that their new investment was a good choice.
Proprietors, Matthew and Amber Maurillo, have excelled in the Quality Assurance Management field and bring those same standards to the service provided. We pride ourselves on the honest dedication, reliability, and commitment required to perform the best services for our clients.
Along with having their own very diversified real estate portfolio, Matthew is a local Port Byron Central High School graduate. He has his Associates Degree from Cayuga Community College and a Bachelors of Science degree from Keuka College. He holds a certificate in Better Process Control School from Cornell University and also graduated from CATS Home Inspection School in Syracuse, New York. Amber is a local Weedsport Central High School Graduate. She has her Registered Nursing Degree from the Crouse Hospital School of Nursing and is also working in the Quality Assurance field.

11 Month Warranty/ Maintenance Inspections
Do you currently own a summer home, airbnb, and/or rental property? Whispering Acres provides a variety of inspection services. We conduct these inspections as if we were purchasing the property for our very own real estate portfolio.
Many new homes are equipped with a 1 year builder warranty. This 1 year period can come and expire before you know it. Contact Whispering Acres in advance to schedule your 11-Month Warranty Inspection while still under warranty. Our 11-Month Warranty Inspection is a full home inspection performed by a licensed home inspector; complete with the delivery of a written inspection report.

Radon Testing and Mitigation
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer. You can’t see or smell radon. Testing is the only way to know your level of exposure. Overall, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Radon is responsible for about 21,000 lung cancer deaths every year(epa.gov) In the event that your radon levels need mitigation, we offer affordable solutions to an acceptable EPA level.
Water Quality Testing

Septic Dye Testing
It’s no secret that septic systems can be costly. Whispering Acres will perform a thorough and concise septic dye test to assure the client that the septic system is running correctly. This test is the simplistic method of pinpointing issues with a septic system. It will check for liquid sewage due to broken pipes or installation defects and help to verify that appliances are properly connected to the septic system.
