BUD

Bud is an eight year old Clydesdale gelding that has worked as a carriage horse for about five years. His superior bloodlines have endowed him with a very gentle disposition, a powerful physique, and a strong desire to please. We were told by the previous owners that Bud was accepted to the Budweiser Clydesdale School as a yearling, contingent on achieving a certain height by age two, which he never achieved. Bud is 17.2 hands and weighs approximately 1800 pounds. His registered name is Teka's Littlefoot which we find quite amusing since his hooves measure about 7 1/2" wide and 8" from front to back. When Bud isn't pulling the carriage, he lounges with the females on the farm and often helps with the farm chores, pulling a mower or cart. Because the Clydesdale breed is so well known, Bud is always a big attraction in public and welcomes affection from children of all ages.

DANIELLE

Danielle is a four year old Belgian mare that was born and raised at Whispering Acres. She has a very loving personality and a powerful physique. Danielle is currently being trained for harness, and she enjoys the time spent with her trainers immensely. She is a very fast learner and has a strong desire to do the right thing. Her soft, gentle, brown eyes look like those of a doe--only much larger. Danielle will be a beautiful addition to any special occasion, and we look forward to having her working in the public.

MICAHLA

Micahla is a three year old Percheron mare that was born at Grand Cheval Percherons in Greenbrier, Tenn. She came to Whispering Acres as a two month old, accompanied by her mother, until she was weaned at four months. Micahla was born with a friendly and outgoing nature; she would leave her mother's side when just two days old and come to the fence to visit. Micahla will slowly turn grey as she ages but is currently nearly black with a grey mane and tail. Micahla has been pulling carts and mowers for over a year and enjoys being out in the public. She is more playful than the other horses in the pasture and always needs to be the center of attention. Micahla is currently being trained for Western Saddle.
